Abstract: Ecologists can benefit greatly from using AI tools for remote sensing, but their lack of familiarity with AI concepts, such as embeddings, as well as with AI algorithms raises a significant barrier. To address this, the Tessera Embeddings Explorer provides an intuitive, privacy-preserving user interface that practitioners can use to explore their region of interest, create habitat maps, or perform regressions based on their domain expertise and knowledge of ground truth. In this talk, I will first present a demo of the tool, then dive into the design principles and software architecture derived from these principles. The tool itself can be found at https://tee.cl.cam.ac.uk Bio: Srinivasan Keshav is the Robert Sansom Professor of Computer Science at the University of Cambridge.
